Hill California Zinfandel/Shiraz 2003
The Napa based Round Hill winery was established by Ernie and Virginia Van Asperen
who sold to long time shareholders Marko and Theo Zaninovich in 2000. Keen to
take things to the next level, they employed highly regarded winemaker Bob Broman
who has blended 60% Zinfandel with 40% Shiraz with fruit sourced from Monterey
and San Luis Obispo Counties as well as some from Napa. A proportion of the wine
was aged in oak.
