Something of a showpiece for the estate, this is an impressively rich and concentrated
wine made from the best fruit sourced from their vines on the upper slopes at
an altitude of up to 400m. The exposed situation of these vines emphasizes a distinct
minerality and natural elegance in the resulting wine. The wine making team, led
by Werner Engelbrecht are committed to traditional methods for this wine; using
open top fermenters, whole bunch pressing, wild yeast fermentation and extended
lees contact.
