‘Peacock Ridge’ Stellenbosch Chardonnay 2005
Despite the unnervingly high ABV, this is a lovely, balanced and weighty
Chardonnay showing complex citrus and pineapple aromas on the nose, infused with
rich white peach and stone fruit characters. The palate is full and rounded, yet
elegant, well-integrated oak and great length and complexity on the finish, a
positive benefit of wild yeast fermentation, and having spent 8 months on the
fine lees.
