Le Riche Jonkershoek Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2002/3
Etienne le Riche is regarded as one of the finest
growers of Cabernet Sauvignon on the Cape. His methods
are traditional; fermentation is in small open concrete
vats with the caps punched down manually to ensure
as gentle an extraction of tannins and colouring phenols
as possible. His total production is a mere 4500 Cs
annually, with this exceptionally fine, black cherry
scented Cabernet having spent 18 months maturing in
barrel. |
