When we found out about the impending demise of RH Phillips, we were ‘all
of a flutter’ as to how we could possibly replace something that had become
part of the furniture. We needn’t have worried; although there is an awful
lot of mass-produced dross out there in the ‘blush’ category, there
are also some wineries looking to make wines with integrity and balance. Round
Hill in Saint Helena have created some inspiring, interesting wines, and their
delicately hued White Zin offers a mouthful of vibrant, candied strawberry and
cranberry flavours with a crisp acidity.
