Côtes du Roussillon-Villages 2003
This was originally only supposed to be on a ‘guest wine’ basis, but it has become
such a firm favourite with so many people, that we really had no option but to
give it a full time listing! It is a Carignan dominated blend with Syrah and Mourvèdre
made by Paul Boutinot from fruit sourced to the south of Corbières. It was aged
for 12 months in Alliers oak. It is a sleek, polished offering, with a rich, almost
creamy hickory aroma.
