It is not surprising that the Languedoc-Roussillon region is so highly regarded;
there are a multitude of growers producing some truly exceptional wines which
makes it rather difficult to select just one or two! Robert and Catherine Pouderoux
currently run this 15ha estate at Maury (it has been in the family since 1826).
This rich, concentrated ‘figgy’ red is made from Carignan, Grenache, Syrah and
Mourvèdre.
