Quinta do Correio
Dão Tinto 2005
Couldn’t get it down to the same price as the white but this is still excellent
value offering definite chunky, dusty Dão characteristics. Dão is arguably the
best-known Portuguese wine growing region and its semi-mountainous terrain offers
plenty of potential for the production of good quality wines, but for many years,
it has flattered to deceive with some rather astringent, ‘dried out’ reds. This
is altogether more modern, being surprisingly fruit-forward.
