Reserve’ Sparkling Shiraz NV
An altogether more serious sparkling Shiraz from the same people as make
the very popular ‘The Mill’ range of varietals, this is a deep blackish-ruby colour,
fading just slightly at the rim, it offers an extremely lively mousse and very
persistent fizz. Somewhat perversely for the genre, this actually smells like
‘proper’ Shiraz; very attractive with earthy, brambly, spicy notes. The palate
is rich and concentrated with ‘chocolate limes’ and good attack.
