We used to list (and rate highly) the wines made at
Sileni Estate by Grant Edmonds. That is (still) his
day job – Redmetal is his own 7ha vineyard that
he runs with his wife Sue and very much his passion.
It is situated in the ‘Triangle’ region
of Hawkes Bay, very much Merlot territory but these
warmer, north Island climes are also Cabernet friendly.
This is an elegant, well-structured fruity red –
fleshy & plummy yet restrained. |
