Foscarino’ Soave Classico 2005
“Inama’s full-flavoured, characterful Vigneti di Foscarino has nothing in common
with the bland, anonymous, slightly lemony wine that many people associate with
Soave.” Jim Budd, Decanter. The ‘Foscarino’ vineyard is particularly well-situated
and consistently yields superb quality fruit from which, in conjunction with bâtonnage
and a small proportion of oak, Stefano makes vibrant, rounded and surprisingly
age-worthy Soave. Indeed, this is one of the more impressive wines that I have
tried from anywhere and remains one of my favourite whites on our list.
