‘Loggia della Serra’ Greco di Tufo 2006
Just north of Napoli, the region of Campania is one of the most dynamic in Italy
in viticultural terms at least! Greco or Grechetto as it is known in the north
is quite widely grown in Italy, but primarily in the south. Terredora di Paolo
is owned by Walter Mastroberardino and his sons; they left the family business
(of the same name) taking with them some of the best vineyards in Irpinia. They
also have one of the best cellars in the region. Loggia della Serra is a highly
regarded single vineyard producing an exciting, weighty, aromatic white with a
broad palate and good length.
