Montresor ‘Castelliere delle Guiate’ Valpolicella
Classico Primoripasso 2004
One hell of a mouthful in every sense! ‘Primoripasso’
is made entirely of free run juice, predominantly
Corvina topped up with Rondinella from the tiny ‘Castelliere
delle Guiate’ vineyard high in the hills of
Negrar that is transferred to barrels containing the
freshest Amarone pomaces for a second fermentation.
In truth, this leaves a lot of Amarone trailing in
its wake; a sumptuous, velvety wine with a delightful
purity of fruit and a deliciously broad and creamy
textured palate with outstanding length and persistence
of finish. |
