Peaks Mulchen Sauvignon Blanc 2006/7
A textbook, lively, grassy wine with a fresh blast of citrus and gooseberries
on the nose and bracing acidity perfectly balanced with a lovely pure grapefruit
and lemon fruit on the palate. This wine was originally from grapes sourced in
the Casablanca valley, arguably the best region in the country for this grape,
however, Mulchen a sub-district of Bio Bio in the ‘deep south’ is garnering a
reputation for quality but without the ‘fashionable price tag’.
