Baron Edmond de Rothschild (Ch. Lafite) bought into this venture in 1988 and joined forces with Santa Rita in 1996, bringing some much needed savvy to the operation. This is a fine, well-structured Cabernet neatly encompassing both the Bordelaise restraint and finesse one would associate with a Rothschild venture and the wonderful purity of fruit for which Chilean wines are justifiably renowned.
