Drappier ‘Grande Sendrée’ Cuvée Prestige 2000
Unbelievably good value as prestige Cuvées go, this is Michel Drappier’s top wine, named after the single vineyard in which it is grown. ‘Sendrée (a misspelling) refers to the cinders of said vineyard which burnt down many years ago. This is said to have further enriched what was already very good soil. Grande Sendrée is only produced in outstanding vintages; this one is still youthful, but definitely worth closer examination already!
