A 24ha Domaine based in the delightfully sleepy village of Chorey immediately
to the north of Beaune. 5th generation grower Nathalie Tollot and her two cousins
typify the new breed of Burgundian wine grower; young, dynamic and innovative.
On the face of things, Chorey-lès-Beaune is a relatively modest Appellation situated
on the valley floor rather than on the ‘golden slopes’ but it has long been recognized
as a useful source of sensibly priced drinking red Burgundy by the trade. As with
all Appellations, some examples are better than others – this is the best, it’s
as simple as that!
