Pierre Bourée is part of the Vallet Frères operation based in the village
of Gevrey-Chambertin itself. Over the last few vintages, there have been marked
improvements in the quality of their wines, even though their methods remain ‘ultra-traditional’!
There is definitely a greater emphasis on fruit, and whilst nicely ‘polished’
their wines still retain a hint of rustic, vegetal, farmyard earthiness that should
appeal to fans of the ‘traditional’ style.
