This is the 'Grand Fromage' of the Duboscq operation recently elevated to Cru
Bourgeois Exceptionnel (the new top tier in the re-classification of Bordeaux
Cru Bourgeois). From a starting point of just 7 hectares when Hervé Duboscq
bought Haut-Marbuzet in 1952, the vineyard now accounts for 55 hectares. Despite
being situated in Cabernet Sauvignon heartland, Haut Marbuzet has always been
noted for its high Merlot content (40%).
