La Croix Chaigneau is in the commune of Néac and is managed by André
and Jeanine Chatonnet. Their wines are based around Cabernet Franc and Merlot
and are aged for 10 - 12 months in a combination of first & second year oak.
The style is accessible and geared towards 'easy drinking'. It does, however,
exhibit substantial complexity offering hints of oak, cinnamon spiciness with
notes of liquorice and Havana cigars.
