Chateau Lalande Saint-Julien 2005
An excellent and relatively inexpensive offering from the Duboscq stable, this
shows textbook cedar, and blackcurrant aromas with a seductively ripe fruit on
the palate. It is, on the face of things, a fairly young wine, but with tannins
soft enough to allow the lovely, lush cassis and mint flavours to come through
on the middle palate.
