Chateau de Crain Entre-Deux-Mers 2006
This is typical of the dry white wine revolution that has been taking place in
Bordeaux. It is un-oaked Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, Muscadelle and the
little known Sauvignon Gris that shows a fresh, creamy but zesty nose with notes
of fresh grass and grapefruit. The palate is taut and elegant but with vibrant
acidity and citrus, herbal notes and a surprisingly creamy texture from 2 months
on the lees. This is a perfect accompaniment to lighter fish dishes.
