The grapes for this all come from vineyards managed by Windowrie giving the O’Dea
family control over the quality of the fruit. Their new state-of-the-art winery
sited in the middle of the vineyards has a 6 000 tonne capacity and means that
winemaking can start within minutes of the grapes being picked. Their Shiraz is
excellent, exhibiting mellow blackberry and cherry character, balanced by a grippy
tannin, juicy acidity and warming, toasty finish.
