Although based in Bendigo, Balgownie also owns vineyards in the cooler climate
of Victoria’s’ Yarra Valley, which has long been regarded as one of Australia’s
best regions for the temperamental Pinot Noir. This is a very good effort indeed
with true, earthy, berry fruit aromas underpinned with smokey, gamey character.
The palate is full and rounded with a captivating creamy, raspberry fruit.
