Malbec is from Cahors in SW France where it produces the so-called ‘Black wine’.
Most Cahors these days does not really merit such a sobriquet, but this sturdy
offering from Mendoza was seemingly made for it! It is dense and brooding in the
glass with an herbal, spicy aroma and a firmly tannic palate, with good length
