Nieto Senetiner ‘Santa
Isabel’ Mendoza Torrontés 2006
Although Torrontés is thought to have originally emanated
from Europe (possibly Galicia), it is now very much
an Argentinean specialty. It makes for a deliciously
aromatic white wine that one would be forgiven for
mistaking for Alsace as it comes over as a cross between
Gewürztraminer and Muscat, making this both an excellent
‘stand alone’ aperitif and superb with slightly spicy
dishes, particularly Thai and Chinese.
